Economic Development

The Village of Paulding has a small-town quality of life, low cost of living and vast experience in welcoming industry and new business. We, as a community, are committed to controlled growth of our Village. The Village of Paulding is a great place to live, work and raise a family!

The Village of Paulding is surrounded by acres of rich farmland. Generations of farmers and craftsmen provide our community with a tradition of a hardworking and ethical workforce.

The Village of Paulding is situated in the heart of what was once the “Great Black Swamp”. U.S. 24, generally referred to as “Fort to Port” is located seven miles north of the village, therefore conveniently locating Paulding 35 miles east of Fort Wayne, Indiana and 70 miles southwest of Toledo, Ohio.

The current federal expansion of U.S. 24 to a 4-lane limited access highway, along with north to south U.S. 127 (traveling through the heart of the village) provides easy accessibility to business and industry located in the Village of Paulding.

The Village is “business and industry” friendly with opportunities for tax abatements and other incentives. Working with the Paulding County Economic Development the village is committed to creating a positive business climate and improving the economic well-being of its citizens.

Industries that are proud to be located in the Village of Paulding include: Alex Products, Spartech Plastics, Thompson Steel, and the Herbert E. Orr Company.
